Homework.  HONORS - Due to the compacted curriculum and rigor of this honors level course, homework will be assigned.  This may come as reading assignments (using a reading strategy), independent practice, papers, or other projects.  In addition, students are expected to spend time reviewing the content at home daily to keep up with the fast-moving pace of the class.  Homework checks will take place frequently.
BASIC - Because of the increased time we have to cover fewer objectives, most of the work should be completed in class.  Thus, the extreme importance of attendance!

Assessments.  You will have a series of formative and summative assessments.  Formative assessments tell us what you know at that particular point in time.  These will be reading quizzes, labs, daily work, etc.  They will be counted as 20% of your grade.  Summative assessments count as 80% of your grade and will vary from tests to projects to papers.  You will have a semester final as well.  Retaking formative assessments is permitted and encouraged, while retaking summative assessments is not as per Lincoln High Science Expectations.

Extra Credit.  No extra credit will be accepted as per the Lincoln High Science Expectations.
